Having had my 30m^2/300sft by 200mm/8" shed floor done with a pump and suffered from a hot+sanded load, I'd say forget doing it yourself, unless you've got the capability to mix sufficient in the time, but also be quite clear with the contractor that any out-of-spec load is either going to be rejected or is going to result in removal/re-work at their cost.

Take a look at the cost of having a truck come in versus mixing and pouring your own. It's not light work, and once you start, you can't stop until the whole slab is poured.
