The objective of this study is to investigate the possibility of using old recycled concrete as coarse aggregate to make new concrete mixes, and its effect on the evolution of the compressive strength of the new concrete mixes. Core samples for demolished concrete were tested to determine its compressive strength.
The final conclusion is that through proper measures high-quality concrete materials can be produced using recycled concrete aggregate. For this purpose, it is needed to determine the properties of the original concrete, based on which realistic qualities can be targeted for recycled aggregate concrete.
Typically (but not always) the process involves crushing or pulverizing the concrete rubble near the demolition or building site. Choosing the best method often depends on the size and shape of the concrete pieces to be recycled. Reusing concrete can a good way to reduce construction costs while providing some benefits to the environment.
Therefore, a great deal of research is being conducted to find ways to recycle this demolished concrete as concrete aggregate. However, because the characteristics of the original concrete are not well known in many cases, the results are also not clear.
crushed concrete with aggregate. Recycling of demolition debris was started since the end of 2nd world war, which used crushed brick as aggregates in concrete [20]. Using crushed concrete from demolition waste as aggregate instead of natural resources as well as using demolished concrete pavement to stabilize the road base
aggregate), and old hardened concrete can be recycled and used as aggregate in new concrete or as fill and pavement base material. 2. Economic factors. Recycling concrete is an attractive option for governmental agencies and contractors alike. Most municipalities impose tight environmental controls over opening of new aggregate sources.

Since the enormous quantity of concrete is available for recycling from demolished concrete structures, field demolished concrete is used in the present study to produce the recycled aggregates. The concrete debris were collected from different (four) sources with the age ranging from 2 to 40 years old and broken into the pieces of ...
aims to evaluate physical properties of concrete using recycled coarse aggregate. In this research concrete waste is from demolished structure (Near Kamla Nehru Park, Bhandarkar Rd, Pune) has been collected and coarse aggregate of different % is used for preparing fresh concrete.
abstract = "Construction and demolition debris, mainly concrete and masonry rubble, represent a significant share of municipal waste. Recycling crushed concrete aggregates and using them as substitutes for natural ones might therefore be determinant in reducing landfilling and mineral resource depletion.
Jun 22, 2001 · Recycling and reuse of waste such as building rubble, concrete lumps, etc. generated at construction and demolition sites form part of a wider, complex issue, primarily relating to improving supplies of construction material and solving problems of disposal of waste construction material. Within the framework of the sustainable development of the environment, the use of waste materials with ...
Abstract This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of using locally available demolition materials resulting from concrete constructions as coarse aggregates for concrete. The study examined several types of locally available demolition outputs such as crushed ceramics, crushed concrete tiles and crushed red bricks.
ABSTRACT The recycling of demolished masonry rubble as the coarse aggregate in new concrete represents an interesting possibility at a time when the cost of dumping such material is on the increase. With growing concerns over the environmental impact of aggregate extraction and the continued rise in aggregate demand in the UK, it is clear that the
Abstract—This Research paper is a live study on the above mentioned title “Recycling of Concrete” This paper [5]consist the introduction of recycled concrete aggregate with its uses and properties. Various test results on Recycled concrete aggregate also described. It also consist the difference between RCA and natural aggregate.
